Strategies for independent filmmakers film festival

It should be a given that having your short film or functionality in a film festival is a good thing.  A big trick is to find how to get in a festival in the first place.  It can be a delicate operation, what make it in life, you have to make it past at least some guards.  There is no clear way to get those film selected, but in general it helps make good press materials, noting at any price that you have received or screening at other festivals.  This obvious but easy to forget the point, can really make a difference tells the Director of the festival that your project already was given a seal of approval by another festival somewhere in the world.

You're either going to get where you're not.  Do not call and disturbs the festival directors or employees, unless it is absolutely necessary.  People are human, its that simple, you never know what is happening to irritate the.  Calling you may put in a bad mood, which, whatever they may be professional how could impact how they see your movie.  Imagine if they choose between your movie and another, and both are of equal quality and interest, do you really want to be a guy or the gal having obtained on their nerves?  Probably not.  Remember festival directors and staff deal with hundreds, even thousands of filmmakers and they probably "because everything."Do not try to talk your way in a festival of water, it will make you look suspicious and a little dark wit a clown like trying to talk about his path in a box of nuit.Juste resist the temptation.

If there is a festival really, really want to try volunteering. This way people without vous.Dans any industry, it is always preferable to call even slightly to be the unknown. On the other hand, while the Festival you never know who you will meet and you make friends with the directors of festivals or employees, eh, much better.

Let's say that you are a filmmaker based Miami, you are a local? as a local filmmaker could really leave you a jambe.Festivals love the idea that you might be able to sell tickets, they are in business after all like you and if you're Miami based your movie would be a first Miami, for example, then your movie is something extra to offer a peu.Cherchez angles of this nature and be resolutely open.
