Snider to keynote future film Summit

NewstogramStacey Snider of DreamWorks will lead the conversation keynote at future of Summit of the variety of movies 9 November at the London West Hollywood Hotel.

The series of annual conferences, co-produced by digital Media Wire, focuses on the forces that are changing the business of movie, with topics spanning development, financing, production, distribution and promotion across platforms.

The programme will cover also recurring problems, such as piracy, film finance and creating movies tentpole together with emerging issues such as online and distribution of video-on-demand, mobile platforms, 3D and social media and viral marketing.

Snider, who is a main partner, co-Chairman and CEO of DreamWorks Studios, conducts its business strategy, as well as financial and creative aspects of film development and production. from accession DreamWorks in March 2006, she has supervised films like "Dreamgirls," "Sweeney Todd" and "Tropic Thunder".

Among other speakers scheduled for the Summit are Bill Mechanic, founder of Pandemonium Films; Jeanette Buerling, Chairman of the Group Media Motor-Magnet; Hal Salis, head of international independent film and to MCI; John Calkins, exec VP of global distribution and commercial innovation to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment; David Fenkel, co-founder of the oscilloscope; Rob Carliner, head of film at Prospect Park and Fredrik Malmberg, prexy-CEO Paradox Interactive.
