House of Hanover has acquired American rights for indie drama by Justin Lerner "Girlfriend", in the wake of its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.The deal, announced Friday, comes a year after the beginning of the film production house of Hanover said it intends to release "Girlfriend" by the end of the year.
PIC was produced by Wayne/Lauren Films co., in association with PatchMo Entertainment. House of Hanover noted in the announcement that "Girlfriend" stars Evan Sneider, the first actor with Down syndrome to cast as a leading man in an American film.
